How to Delete or Disable Your Instagram Account is something almost all internet users face at some point of time or other. When Instagram was first launched, it was a revolution. Tap on the cog icon in the left portion of the app and choose the 'Settings' option. The setting's main page has all the various options available to you. If you want to turn off Instagram's web browser functionality, scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap on the overflow button. Now look for the link for the data download section. Click on it and you will now be able to see a message stating "iami data download is currently underway".

When you see that the "Settings" app has changed, tap on it, and change the account type to the "none" option. This is the same state your Instagram account would be in when you were logged in to Instagram using your web browser. Now that you have turned off Instagram's web browser, you can proceed to deleting or deactivating your profile. Tap on the gear icon in the top right corner of the app and look for the "Social Media Settings". Click on the link labeled "Advertising Options" and look for the option entitled" Tick". Now click on the tick mark icon and you will now see the "Advertising Center" appears up. The link labeled "Your Stories" should already be visible in this section.

Tap on "Remove All Ads" to permanently remove the Facebook ads. If you have set up your Instagram profile to have comments and likes, simply log in again as the default account and disable the comments and likes option so that you are not prompted to like or comment on any post. Then proceed to deleting the adverts. You will see two bars appear at the top of the screen, one reading "Remove Advertisements" and the other displaying "Remove Social Media Links".

Tap on "Remove Ads" and then look for the red "X" displayed at the bottom right corner. Tap on the red "X" and a list of all the apps that you InstaLogged will appear. Look through all the apps and uninstall the Instagram app you uninstalled. Once you have finished the uninstall process, go ahead and re-enable the Instagram app, which is available by clicking on the gear icon at the top right of Instagram. Then go ahead and login with your normal user name and password that you used when you logged in before.
